Research on the nano-scale and the emergent quantum phenomena in condensed matters is one of the main trends of modern solid physics. At Advanced Nano and Quantum Matters (ANQM) Laboratory, National Cheng Kung University, we use in-house low-temperature measurements, such as magnetization, heat capacity, resistivity, EPR, NMR etc.; and conduct various quantum beam experiments including neutron scattering, synchrotron x-ray scatterings, as well as SR experiments by mean of world-wide collaborations to investigate the superconductivity and magnetism. Recently, researches focus on the flux-line dynamics of nano-size superconductors, emergent monopoles in spin ice, ground states and excited states of geometrically frustrated magnets, and the interplay between spin-orbital coupling and electron correlations.

We are looking for a self-motivated post-doctor to join our lab. The candidate should have a PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Material science related, can perform the in-house low-temperature measurements using quantum design PPMS&MPMS systems, and have experiences of sample preparations associated with in-house x-ray characterizations. Previous experiences of using quantum beams for researches is an advantage but not highly necessary.

The position will start from 1st August 2018 for one year, and can be extended up to three years based on the performances. The salary and insurances etc. will follow the rules of MOST, Taiwan.
