演講者簡介:

Dr. Chin Man W. Mok is a principal engineer and hydrogeologist in AMEC’s Oakland office, with 26 years of industry experience in geology as well as geotechnical, earthquake, environmental, hydrologic, and structural engineering worldwide. He obtained his bachelor's degree in civil and structural engineering from the University of Hong Kong, his master's degree (geotechnical earthquake focus) and doctorate (groundwater and reliability analysis) from the UC Berkeley.

In addition to his industry practice, he is an affiliated professor (engineering risk) and Diesel Fellow at the Technical University of Munich, an adjunct professor (earth sciences) at the University of Waterloo and has been a visiting associate professor (geotechnical engineering) at the University of Hong Kong. He has taught continuing professional development short courses in many countries and has been a principal investigator in many research studies funded by national agencies and AMEC. His expertise is in computational modeling, reliability/risk/hazard analysis, resource and operations optimization, and high-resolution site characterization. He is interested in applied research and is currently supervising several graduate students.
